Buffalo
Buffalo is probably the best example, in my memory, of how much more I can enjoy a place by going there to enjoy it. Obvious, but easy for me to forget. I went there for a YAPC in 2004 or so, and went into the city once or twice, and went to Anchor Bar with the conference. Meh. Then in 2023, I went there just for fun, with a friend, with some visiting with another friend there. It was great! I’d go again, even.
