The Perl QA Hackathon was here in 2016. Beyond my usual inexplicable inability to use the UK train system, my main memory was that my hotel room was bad and the towel in particular was so bad that I went and bought my own. It was a nice town, though, and I taught some friends to play Chase at the pub.
